Villa Mabrouka opens this season and we can't wait to see the beauty unfold under the direction of it's new owner Jasper Conran OBE. Nestled high above the bay of Tangier with expansive views across to the Strait of Gibraltar, the hotel promises to be an oasis of deeply comfortable elegance. This is the second hotel for Conran in Morocco - his other being the sublime L’Hôtel Marrakech nestled deep in the Medina.
Once home to Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé the villa was originally built in the 1940's and incorporates both modernist and traditional Moroccan architecture. Conran's reimagining of the unique space with a fascinating past, promises a haven of privacy with beautifully appointed suites, flowing terraces, lush gardens, pools and panoramic views. It is also within close walking distance of the ancient bustling Kasbah and Medina of Tangier.
Conran enlisted the renowned garden and landscape designer Madison Cox to lay out the garden with towering palms, citrus trees, vines, hydrangea and bougainvillea framing the terraces and sea views, pools and waterfalls and we can't wait to see the interiors...
