My Last Supper

My Last Supper - Eshita Kabra-Davies

Gin martini, anyone?

"My Last Supper is one of our favourite family games. We play constantly; by ourselves around the kitchen table, with friends on holiday; in the car on the school run. It never fails to excite." says Willow.

On to Eshita' 'My Last Supper.' As always we ask:

What would you have for your last meal on earth? A drink, a starter, a main course and pudding? You never get full and you can be wherever you want in the world…

I'd like to have my last supper in seclusion with a handful of close ones in the lush green English countryside, surrounded by wildflowers and nature's sounds under the summer sun setting above us. We'd be dressed in lace and silk slips and robes...

For my final drink, I'd have a gin martini with a lemon twist. Clear, strong and efficient - I think that's how I would like to think of the person I've tried to be in my life!

I've been a vegetarian all my life, so my last supper would be the most unapologetically carb-heavy meal I should have ever had in life. With a bit of salad on the side.

The starter would have to be some sort of Indian street food: either paneer or vada pav (a bun with a potato patty - the equivalent of our burger).

The main without a doubt will have to be a large homemade pizza rich with tomato and mozzarella and topped with jalapeno, olive and pineapple. It's a complex flavour, much like the hot and sweet turns I would have enjoyed in life!

I'm not usually a big dessert person, but since this is the final ever chance to, I'll have a bit of the Indian dessert Ras Malai. It will remind me of my childhood in India and Singapore, and my mom's cooking.
