SKYE by Brora

A legacy label is born...

As part of Brora’s 30 year celebrations, founder Victoria Stapleton asked her daughters and muses, Jesse & Lola to co-design a collection - introducing SKYE by Brora.

Having spent a lifetime growing up around their mother’s brand, it is especially timely as her daughters are around the age Victoria was when she started Brora. The collection is inspired by the Isle of Skye - very much part of Scotland but a break away from the mainland conjuring up images of freedom, adventure, and beauty.

This is a modern feminine collection injected with Americana cool, a little British punk and the familiar air of relaxed vintage bohemia.

We love the rockabilly edge to the collection - with western detailing, chunky knits and cowboy boots...

I’ve been inspired by my daughter’s style for years; they have their very own point of view on the Brora aesthetic and wear the clothes their way. The path from muse to design studio seemed a natural one. It’s an incredible debut and I am truly proud. Victoria Stapleton

Creativity runs in the family, Lola is currently at the Glasgow School of Art, studying textiles, quilt and printmaking, ceramics and painting and is described by her sister as a ‘genius with colour’. Jesse works as a fashion art director, producer & film costume design assistant. She has a unique eye for detail and a head for designing clothes that are a perfect blend of wearable style.

The bold colour palette is a reflection of Jesse and Lola’s personal style and the colours they naturally gravitate to. From a base of bottle-green, ruby red and black with ivory and some pops of hot pink.

This collection takes you all day into the night and it's one that will be shared between sisters and generations for years to come.
