Welcome to Friday, Seedlings!
Thank you again for the warm welcome here. I am loving it! It is good to be able to chat and get your thoughts on tulip bulbs, hot pink trainers and so much more. We launch our Christmas home collection tomorrow - A Winter’s Tale - Magic & Joy This Christmas - that’s the name and it really is magical and joyful! I can’t wait to share all the pieces - it is hard to choose favourites but the cherry loving cup I illustrated and our posie table lines could be the stars! There is also a special launch discount code for paid subscribers (read on).
This week I’m loving the sunshine-through-rain-moments and feeling a tiny bit more of an Autumnal glow but truth be told, I’m still slopping through drenched fields and muddy puddles on my foraging; spending too long on sodden sidelines and dodging deludes whenever I leave the car. So, we’ve put together a Set Fire To The Rain edit (waterproof wonders - rain coats, jackets, hats & more) because we may as well be dry and comfortable (and even a little chic!) in these autumn showers.
This week, six things I have loved…
1. Wearing Colour. I’d say 75% of my wardrobe is navy. It feels chic, it’s easy to wear and goes with everything. But one thing it is not, is joyful. I wore this pink cardigan this week and it genuinely did brighten my day. Even strangers in the supermarket stopped to tell me how cheery it was! So from here onwards, there will be a lot more colour.
2. Speckles. I keep thinking I’ll grow out of splatter but no sign of that yet. How chic is this brown platter?! It’s from H&M and relatively speaking - in splatter circles - is a bargain.
