Mood Boarding At Home
Do you have one, would you like one?
I love the idea of a mood board - quotes, fabric swatches, old photographs, mementos from travels, foraged treasures, magazine tears and so on. I have had one of sorts over the years but am inspired to make a bigger, ever-changing mood board to keep me inspired for all aspects of work and play, in my home office and thought you might like to create or update one too…

Organised chaos? Not sure… This is the state of my desk currently - LOTS of things I love but a little messy and needing an overhaul. I think I’ll start creating a big stretched canvas - A1 size at least, with pretty pins or ribbon wrapped in a criss-cross pattern to slip under and attach inspiration onto, and build it out from there.
I think it pays to go big with a mood board - create a large one to fit the space if your desk is against a wall. It not only provides inspiration but colour and decoration to make your home office a deeply personal, colourful and comfortable space (and so you can just keep adding more and more!). More is more that is for sure!
Have you any other ideas? Have you created one that works well?
Here’s some inspiration of mood boards we love…
And here are some seen in situ of a home office space…
So what do you think? Will you create one? Have you got one already?

Love a good mood/vision board. I build mine out in Notion and link each image to a specific objective for the year :) ...each of which is linked to a different, supporting project which i work to achieve across the year. The idea being that I don't just have a lovely wall of images I like - but they act as a visual reminder of what I am working to achieve. I also take the same mood/vision-board images from within Notion and create a printable in Canva - and print that out on A2. That lives on my office wall as a physical reminder of what I am aiming for :) All surprisingly techy for me, (a die-hard GenX) - but I've found it really helps!
I love it ! It's extremely inspiring, and what"s more it's magnificent. Thank you for sharing this
